- The Hong Kong Joint School Economics Association (HKJSEA) has hosted a stall in Victoria Park from the 7th to the 14th of February. The organizers come from different schools including but not restricted to Diocesan Boys School, Hang Seng School of Commerce, La Salle College, St. Mary’s Canossian College, among many others. This group of enthusiastic students has come together in the past few months, and has built up a business venture from scratch.
- The HKJSEA stall, which is named “Tiger Gang” (虎頭幫) has been entirely financed, planned, managed and controlled by students with minimal help from external advisors. The students involved have taken care of tasks such as locating suppliers, arranging meetings and negotiations, monetary transactions and signing business deals.
- Mr. Daniel Yu, a well-known tutor of Economics, who is also the advisor of the HKJSEA, has commended the efforts of the participants and he has been very supportive of the stall. The HKJSEA stall has also received much acclaim in social networking sites such as Facebook, as well as internet forums such as Sina.com.hk and Hk-pub.com.
- The revenue of the stall broke even with our production costs, and the confirmation of the financial details is to be released after settling the final transactions. The Association wishes to thank all sub-committee members, voluntary helpers, and last but not least, our faithful customers. We hope that all participants will enjoy the experience in the years to come and continue to be involved with our future projects.
